Vision and Values

The strapline for our vision and values is:

“To be as Jesus is, where I am”
(to only do the things we see the Father doing)

We deem it important that we be as Jesus, to everyone we meet. In this context, Jesus said that He only ever did the things He saw the Father doing, and in like manner, we should also be looking to the Father for our direction and ministering as Jesus did to all we meet.

At West Street, we have some core values which underpin everything we do. The values we hold are the foundations to the vision that we have. The core values are:

Passions (Values)

  • To worship God with all our heart – to be a people of worship

  • To hear the Father and demonstrate obedience to all His commands

  • To apply the word of God to our lives and to show others how to live in line with the will and purposes of God

  • To be an effective witness to the love of the Father

  • To manifest the power of the Holy Spirit through healing & deliverance

  • To be a prophetic people who will call the world to repentance & forgiveness

  • To be imparters of the life of God to others

  • Relationship-building with the body of Christ in the UK and other parts of the world

We use the word passion because we believe that we should be passionate about these values.

The vision of the church, which we believe is given to us by God, points the way to where we are going. Our vision has four key aspects:

Purpose (Vision)

  • Equipping the church to reach out to the Father and then to the world through the power of His Holy Spirit.

  • A commitment to inspired and anointed teaching with regular body-building conferences and Spirit-directed evangelism and mission.

  • To be a centre of healing and restoration sending people out with the love of the God to demonstrate the power of God to a needy world.

  • To outgrow our current facilities
